FY2025 IPDRE Research Report Meeting Held

On March 6, 2026, the International Platform for Dryland Research and Education (IPDRE), Tottori University, held its FY2025 Research Report Meeting in a hybrid format at the Hamasaka Campus and online. Approximately 50 participants attended at the venue, including IPDRE members, project leaders, faculty members, and students.
This annual meeting is held to share the research achievements that IPDRE has been promoting in dryland studies and to discuss future directions. On the day, research reports were presented in a wide range of fields, including food production in drylands, water resource management, desertification control, regional environment, health, and technology development.
In addition, the activities and outcomes of the various research groups promoted by IPDRE were shared, covering topics such as sustainable land management, the development of stress-tolerant crops, drought risk management, salinity control using DX technologies, heatstroke countermeasures, and high-efficiency cultivation systems. Active questions, answers, and exchanges of views took place throughout the meeting.
IPDRE will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through the promotion of dryland research and international collaborative research.
