Dr. Fasil is eager to expand his research network and build collaborative projects under the framework of Panorama, Norway's strategy for bilateral cooperation in higher education and research with key partner countries outside the EU. Dr. Fasil's Short Biography
Dr Fasil Ejigu Erengo is an Associate Professor of Water and Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology, The Arctic University of Norway, in Narvik. He joined UiT in 2019; prior to that, he worked as a research scientist at the Norwegian bioeconomy research institution NIBIO. He earned his PhD in Water and Environmental Engineering from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU).
Dr Fasil leads the One Health education and research project, a collaboration with Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) and MUST (Malawi), funded by NORAD (the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation). Additionally, he is engaged in the OppSlam, ENFORCE, BRIDGE, and PEERS projects, with BRIDGE representing a joint effort between UiT and Hokkaido University, Japan.
