Specially Appointed Associate Professor Kristina Toderich Arrives at Her Post at IPDRE

The International Platform for Dryland Research and Education has appointed Dr. Kristina Toderich, a former regional coordinator and lead scientist of the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture as a Specially Appointed Professor on January 18, 2018. She has been working in resource-poor dry areas with many partner research institutions and conducted researches on dryland ecology, water resource management, and nutrition and food security.

The appointment ceremony took place on January 18, 2018 followed by a courtesy call to Prof. Atsushi Tsunekawa, Head of Strategic Management Office, IPDRE. At the courtesy call, Dr. Toderich stated that she will strive to contribute to the globalization of the education and research system to train high quality human resources.

Inviting Dr. Toderich was made possible by the National University Corporation function enhancement budget by MEXT. Together with Dr. Kristina Toderich, we will give our best to contribute to the growth of IPDRE and Tottori University.
