【ENDED】 Commemorative Special Seminar for the Tokyo International Symposium

Twenty years has passed since the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) entered into force. Tottori University is holding the Tokyo International Symposium: “Combating Desertification”, jointly hosted by the Japan’s Ministry of Environment and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), to address and discuss various perspectives such as policies, researches and international cooperation on efforts of combatting desertification and achievement of a “land degradation-neutral world”.
To commemorate the event, IPDRE will hold a special seminar on global trends of dryland research and forefronts of researches inviting heads of the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) and Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Science (former Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute) as guest speakers.
