4. Job Description
  • (1) Conduct and/or supervise basic and/or applied research on various issues related to dryland.
  • (2) Educate students and develop human resources who contribute to resolving various challenges in dryland.
  • (3) Coordinate joint activities between Tottori University and overseas organizations.

5. Working Arrangement
    Full-time (annual salary)

6. Remuneration
    Conditions of employment including salary are subject to the regulations of Tottori University.

9. Qualifications and Otehr Requirements
  • (1) The applicant must have a PhD degree.
  • (2) The applicant must have enough ability to fulfill duties stated in part 4 “job description”.
  • (3) The applicant must have extensive knowledge on environment and societies in dryland.
  • (4) The applicant must be a native English speaker or have its equivalent proficiency.

10. Documents Required
  • (1) Dossier (use attached form);
  • (2) Copies of a maximum of 30 publications of “4. Books/Book Chapters”, “5. Refereed Journal” and “6. Reviews, Research Reports, Proceedings, etc.” listed in the Dossier. If publications are in print, you should submit copies of acceptance letters from the Journals or publishers. For “7. Patents”, documents describing the publication number of your patent should be provided;
  • (3) Summary of your major research achievements mainly related to dryland and its challenges. (Maximum 2 pages of A4 size);
  • (4) Your future research plan at International Platform for Dryland Research and Education (maximum 2 pages of A4 size).

11. Screeing System
    The first selection will be based on documents submitted. The final selection will be based on the interview (online interview available).
