【Re-opening for applications】Field Study in Morocco: ”Overseas Practice Exercise (E)”
The Department of Dryland Science is pleased to announce a re-opening of applications for the course "Overseas Practice Exercise (E)" (1 credit), which provides field-based practical learning in Morocco.
Due to the deterioration of the security situation in the Middle East, the program originally scheduled for April has been postponed to December 2026. As a result of this change, some previously selected students have withdrawn from the program. We are therefore seeking 3 additional participants.
Destination: International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), Kingdom of Morocco
Program Dates: December 5 – December 16, 2026 (tentative)
Number of Openings: Up to 3 students
Eligibility: Students enrolled in the Department of Dryland Science (M2 at time of departure), in good health, and with sufficient English proficiency
Estimated Cost to Student: Approx. ¥130,000 (accommodation, meals, and other local expenses)
Application Period: Monday, April 27 – Friday, May 15, 2026 (Deadline: 12:00 noon)
